Erin Smith is a flautist from Northern Ireland. She completed her undergraduate degree in Music at the University of Manchester, where she studied flute with Gavin Osborn, graduating with a MusB (Hons): First Class in 2014. She pursued her postgraduate studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, London, graduating with a MA (Flute Performance): Distinction in 2018. At Trinity Laban she studied with Wissam Boustany and Anna Noakes, focusing on the performance of the modernist and contemporary flute repertoire. She also had the opportunity to perform in several masterclasses with renowned flautists such as Julien Beaudiment, Robert Winn and Mary Karen Clardy.

At both the University of Manchester and Trinity Laban, Erin gained extensive performance experience, performing in the symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, new music ensembles and in musical theatre pit bands. She has a particular interest in contemporary classical music and enjoys collaborating with up-and-coming composers, exploring the full range of the flute's capabilities through the development of new works.

Erin performs regularly at special events, including weddings. She is a dedicated flute teacher and currently delivers private lessons.
